Ukraine says Starshield limits remain, as Trump had said service was restored
Starlink continues to be throttled in Ukraine, Ukrainian officials and a national security expert told CNBC on Friday. Since Oct. 14, officials have accused SpaceX of imposing speed limits on Starshield, the military-grade Starlink offering: any drone traveling above 100 mph lost its connection. Ukraine's deputy ambassador to the U.S., Denys Sienik, wrote that “nothing has changed” as of Friday. That is despite President Donald Trump's comments indicating service was restored. Dmitri Alperovitch of the Silverado Policy Accelerator said Starshield terminals still had problems and that Ukrainian forces “are losing drones.”
