Tesla FSD becomes 'Tesla Assisted Driving' in Europe with tighter speed rules

Tesla's Full Self-Driving has a new name in Europe and a tighter speed setting. On 3 November the Netherlands' vehicle authority RDW approved changes to FSD Supervised: in Europe it is now called Tesla Assisted Driving (TAD), and the maximum margin above the speed limit drops from +50% to +10%, with the margin reset to 0% at every start. The update reaches HW4 cars over the air. The RDW found no adverse effects, so the existing type approval stays valid, and it informed the nine EU states that already accept it. Broader EU-wide approval is still under discussion in the TCMV. Tesla asked for the review itself, which shows that working with regulators gets software on European roads faster than fighting them.
