Tesla registrations in Germany nearly quadruple in October

So much for the European slump. Tesla's new registrations in Germany nearly quadrupled in October, according to the federal motor transport authority KBA, Teslarati reports. The KBA counted 2,932 Teslas registered last month, up 290.9 percent year over year. From January to October, Tesla reached 47,742 units, up 206.1 percent on the same period of 2025. The whole electric market is booming: Germany registered 94,086 new battery-electric cars in October, a 79.5 percent rise that lifted the BEV share to 37 percent of the 254,492 cars registered that month. Teslarati notes that despite the percentage surge, Tesla's absolute numbers remain modest. Still, in the home market of Volkswagen, BMW and Mercedes, Germans are buying electric — and they are buying Teslas again.
