Tesla shows what Roadster drivers will see on screen before thruster activation

Tesla has revealed the Roadster's cockpit interface in a 34-second video, showing a Track Mode dashboard with circuit maps, lap times, brake and motor temperatures, tire pressure and temperature readouts, and a thruster gauge reading 5,500 PSI. The Thrust and Rocket variants use cold gas thrusters targeting 0 to 60 mph times under 0.9 seconds and under 0.59 seconds. Production begins in 2028; the Rocket version is not approved for public roads. Reservations require a $50,000 payment, and the car will be displayed at the Petersen Automotive Museum from October 24 to 27.

Tesla has started building Optimus robots on a Fremont line targeting one million units annually, with equipment for 20,000 robots per week installed. Musk said AI and hardware refinement should finish by the end of next year, followed by deliveries to outside companies. An Optimus Academy of 10,000 to 20,000 robots will generate training data. Tuopu, Joyson, and Sanhua are certified partners, and a Giga Texas factory aims for a long-term target of 10 million robots per year.
