X says its updated web app is way faster

According to The Verge, X is rolling out an updated web app that the company says is significantly faster, releasing it one country at a time for signed-in users.

Principal engineer Yagiz Nizipli wrote in a blog post that on a slow connection the old web app took more than 22 seconds before the first post appeared, while the new version shows it in 2.7 seconds. The post explains that the updated app replaces the three servers previously used for people, search crawlers, and link previews with a single server. Security researcher Jane Manchun Wong reported that the updated app feels snappy, loads fast, and many parts are polished. Nizipli also said the new app is already available for the logged-out version of X.com and for pages crawled by search engines.
